Windows 7 Extreme Edition by Amit Aghara: A Fast, Stable, and Customized Version of Windows 7 Ultimate

i have had my computer for a while and i have had my linux mint account for almost as long. i have gotten faster and faster at getting my basics done so that there arent too many clicks to do what needs to be done. i say this is because i used to have my computer for only a few hours a week and i wouldnt want to do everything i needed to do that frequently in a week. for example, i used to have one browser window in linux mint, and then i would open all my programs and everything, and then i would maximize those programs and i would have about a dozen windows open with a dozen tabs open in my browser. this made using linux pretty complicated because i would have to do all these closing windows and maximizing windows and closing all the programs and closing all the programs so my programs would close. a lot of time would be wasted because i have to do things to get linux mint to do what i want it to do.

at the first, i had to learn new keyboard shortcuts. for example, the close browser window shortcut is ctrl+w, and that was a handy feature to learn. another thing i noticed is that my previous windows tasks would not close when i closed the program. in linux mint, when i close a program, it is smart enough to close down all the programs related to that. for example, when i close outlook, it closes thunderbird, which closes its emails, which closes evolution, which closes its mail, etc. this is all done for you and is neat.

this is a difficult one to explain. it is so stupid that i am left speechless. but this is the truth. if you switch to the advanced option of choosing where you want to install windows, then your going to want to download the x64 version, unless your going to have a x64 machine. either way, when you are choosing where to install, don't choose the option at the top of the page, where it says free space, but pick the option in the middle of the page, where it says used space, (this includes unallocated space, which is the area where you need to put in a partition for the windows installer.
